The effect of the structure of microtubules on their dynamic instability

Bio 

I joined the lab in 2025 to study how the structure of microtubules affects their dynamic instability. I use a combination of TIRF and electron tomography on the same samples to see both the state of the microtubule (growing/shrinking) and its structure. Further down the line I will also look at the effects microtubule associated proteins have on the structure and dynamics of microtubuls.  I do this as joint PhD student with the lab of Arjen Jakobi. In my free time I like singing, rowing (see picture, this was after a race of 100k lol)  and trying out new things I have never done before.
